The mechanisms of social adaptation of persons sentenced to imprisonment in the penal legislation

The article carries out a complex analysis of such concepts as: “social adaptation of convicts", “re-socialization of convicts", “outside life training of sentenced persons". The correlation of these concepts in the field of criminal executive legal relations is revealed. The author examines the legal norms of the penal law concerning the outside life of convicted, aimed at social adaptation of persons sentenced to a law-abiding life and prevention of recidivism after release. The conclusion is that the convicts’ accommodation outside prisons should serve as a specific step in preparation for outside life and be applied in high-security prisons.
