We investigated problems of reforestation and patch dynamics of herb layer vegetation on 7th year after catastrophic windthrow. Tree stand formed by birches and willows on windthrow pits, rowans and maples of second tree canopy layer, and spruce on decaying wood. Diversity of vegetation patches types increased. New forest community corresponded to wetter forest type.
