Mechanisms of domestic and foreign policy legitimation of power in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

Based on the classical approach of M. Weber, complementing it with the developments of modern German scientists, the author gives an overview of the mechanisms of legitimation of the Pridnestrovian state from the moment of its creation up to the present day. The analysis of the dynamics of the use of specific mechanisms of legitimation of power in Transnistria reveals the special role of such factors as the international situation, the personal style of political leadership, the availability of resources, as well as the political expediency of their use.
