One of the main causes of cell membrane damage in pathological processes and adverse conditions is the activation of lipid peroxidation (LPO) as a result of the formation of reactive oxygen species and/or decrease in the activity of antioxidant cell systems [19, 20]. Changes in the properties of cell membranes lead to deterioration of their physiological characteristics [21, 22, 23]. A possible way to inhibit the LPO may be to increase their oxidative stability while maintaining functional activity through the use of antioxidants. Liposomes are now considered to be promising "transport containers" for the delivery of biologically active substances to cells and tissues. Biologically active substances in the composition of liposomes have greater bioavailability and targeted delivery to cells [18]. Lipids, which are part of liposomes, can also act as "donors" of essential lipids, replacing molecules, damaged as a result of LPO and phospholipase activation. Despite the great interest of researchers in these drugs, the membrane-stabilizing effect of their liposomal forms has been little studied.
