The article examines the main forms, methods and directions of state regulation of financial activity of enterprises in Russia. In modern conditions the state has an impact on all spheres of economic activities of the society by fulfilling the legal, economic, social, defense, management etc. functions, because the market cannot regulate economic and social processes in the interests of the whole society. The prerogative of the state is to ensure law and order in the country and its national security, which is the basis for the development of entrepreneurship and economy.
