Mentality and basic qualities a police officer in the provisions of foreign science

The article presents an analysis of a number of judgments and conclusions of representatives of foreign science to identify the personality traits of a police officer. Revealing the spectrum of the set of qualities inherent in a police officer formulated by various experts, the author pays special attention to: firstly, the variability of the noted set of character traits of the specified representative of the law enforcement agency; secondly, on the importance of a scientific approach to solving psychological problems caused by the need to carry out preventive work with police personnel, in terms of overcoming destructive moments associated with professional burnout of individual employees.
