Modernization of the national health system, aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of medical care to the population, demanded the revision of criteria for assessing the quality and performance of health care institutions that resulted in the implementation of new regional models of quality of care. Such models provide for a systematic analysis of the quality indicators. Thus, in 2011-2013 in the Chechen Republic in the structure of infant mortality has the largest share of early neonatal mortality, which amounted in 2011 79,38±1,79%, in 2012 decreased by 1.17 times and amounted to 68,12±1,41%, and in 2013 have not changed significantly and amounted to 67,05±1,59% (p=0,056). During the same period, the proportion of post-neonatal mortality in the structure of infant mortality has increased in more than 2 times: 6,19±0,13% in 2011 to 14,85±0,30% in 2012 and 12,50±0.29% in 2013 This situation proves the necessity to develop additional measures to improve the quality of medical care to pregnant women, parturient women, puerperant women and children under 1 year, involving the introduction of quality models, elements of which are the subjects of models, quality metrics, quality processes of care, assessment tool, functional elements for assessment, a key element of the model and the type of quality management.
