The authors of the work investigate the problems of state support for domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and the direction of development in the fashion industry. The main support measures include: “Digital SME Platform. The Russian Federation”, which helps to eliminate administrative barriers, popularizes the image of an entrepreneur. The stage of assistance is to determine the growth points of the program participant. For this purpose, an express check of the applicant’s level of competence is carried out, his strengths and weaknesses are determined: Express consultations on business support; Selection of urban premises for business; Obtaining a loan; Purchase of a franchise; Sales on marketplaces and social networks, and others. The MPS Sew project offers assistance in the sale of goods (including on marketplaces); preferential lending to small businesses, an accelerator for the fashion and beauty industry has been launched within the framework of the project, public speaking training, creation of business presentations for experts, lectures, trainings, workshops. The main areas of entrepreneurial activity in the fashion industry include: Clothing manufacturing, wholesale of clothing, retail of clothing, custom tailoring, restoration and repair of clothing, franchising in the field of clothing, design and development of clothing, fashion platforms and aggregators (niche marketplaces), stylist services and image consulting (styling).
