Article is devoted to peculiarities of thefactor structure of personality (FSP) in people who attempted suicide in relation to the presence / absence of the phenomenon of Hopelessness (FH). FSP (within Big Five model) was analyzed from the point of view of interaction of two metafactors (Stabilityand Plasticity) with the age and gender of suicide attempters. Nonlinear principal components analysis revealed significant differences in the FSP of those who have attempted suicide in comparison to the control group, and in those who attempted suicide having FH in comparison to attempters who did not experience this phenomenon. The results are discussed in terms of understanding the nature andpredictive potential of FH and from the point of view of gender differences in suicidal behavior.
