Metaphorical signifiers of the concept word in the novel “The way of Abai” by M. Auezov

The article is devoted to the study of metaphorical signifiers of the concept word in the artistic work of the Kazakh writer of the 20th century M. Auezov. The purpose of this study is to analyze, classify and describe the language expression of metaphorical models that represent the concept word . The study used contextual analysis and classification methods, as well as a descriptive method. The material for the study was the novel by M. Auezov “The Way of Abai.” The metaphorical models found in the text were classified into several groups: military, natural, biomorphic, hemomorphic, morbid and rheomorphic metaphors. It was concluded that military and natural metaphors quite productively develop the figurative meanings of the concept word in the Kazakh linguistic culture. They allow the author to reveal access to the mysterious nature of a living human word: to describe its beauty, emotional potential, as well as the power of influence on a person. A sharp, apt word becomes a weapon of social struggle against the vices of society. The wise, living, healing word of the poet is a precious gift to his descendants.
