Metaverse - a new space for committing fraud in the field of lending

Introduction: the article deals with challenges of criminal and legislative regulation of new legal relations in the digital space and the prospects for the development of relations in crediting area in the metauniverse. Materials and Methods: the normative basis for the study was the legal norms governing legal relations that have arisen in the digital space in the field of property, electronic money circulation and virtual currencies, in relation to the field of lending. Results: the author's position on the legal regulation of public relations in the field of lending is considered from the point of view of countering fraud in the virtual space in order to ensure the national security of the Russian Federation. Conclusions and Conclusions: credit fraud in the digital space poses a threat to further modernization of the economy, the development of industrial and scientific potential, leading to stagnation of the Strategy for the Development of Information Society in the Russian Federation and the National Program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. The creation of a sovereign digital space opens up prospects for law enforcement agencies to effectively counteract crime using remote technologies, preventing foreign states from harboring criminals by using sanctions policy.
