Method of optical channels parallel commutation and it's possible implementations

This work is devoted to the investigation of possibility of creating a multi-channel parallel switches of NxN optical waveguides. A method, based on bitwise switching of channels, and two variants of its implementation: using the effect of total internal reflection in the built-in waveguide electro-optic cells and using the photorefractive effect in the material of the waveguide are proposed. Both options are modeled on the example of 8x8 channels switching.
