The most important conditions for the implementation of innovations in the organization are the ability of the organization to innovate, determined through its innovative potential, and the readiness of the organization to introduce innovations, determined through the possibility of realizing the innovative potential of the organization. The purpose of the article is to form methodological aspects of the assessment of these areas in relation to heat supply organizations, in particular, unified heat supply organizations, which, in view of the legislatively fixed status of authorized persons for the implementation of state policy in the field of domestic heat supply, have a significant role in its development, including innovative development. To achieve this goal, the author attempts to form methodological provisions for determining the readiness of unified heat supply organizations for the introduction and implementation of innovations, the use of which allows systematically, in the areas of technical, technological, organizational, social and financial assessment, to determine the readiness of unified heat supply organizations for innovation.
