Methodological aspects of assessing the economic security of the region

The article presents investigation of methodological aspects of assessing economic safety of region. The relevance of investigation is expressed in the importance of studying methodological aspects in context of changing market conditions and world crises. The analytical comparison of economic-mathematical, dynamic, analytical, econometric, macroeconomic, complex approach, as well as the methodology by A.I. Tatarkin is carried out. The most effective and accurate methods were identified from the studied techniques. Based on the comparative analysis, a combined combination of the studied techniques was proposed.
