Methodical ways of mapping the current state of landscapes for regional environmental monitoring considered. The current state of landscapes assessed in two ways: from the time of change for involvement in the intensive use of modern man and anthropogenic pressures, which has caused in the landscape of the new changes. Maps of human variability of landscapes and modern anthropogenic pressure on landscapes of the Upper Volga were compiled.
