Methodological recommendations for the preparation of the role of Lisa in Tchaikovsky’s opera The queen of spades

This article deals with the vocal and technical peculiarities of the lyric heroine Liza's part in the famous opera "Queen of Spades" by P.I. Tchaikovsky. A complex approach to the analysis of Liza's part is applied, methodical recommendations on singing technique are given, taking into account the natural features of the soprano voice. The author analyzes the musical and poetic text of various numbers of the part and identifies potential difficulties that the performer may encounter in preparing the part. Characteristic features of the heroine's image, which should be conveyed with the help of acting techniques, are revealed.
