Methodological issues of logistic support of pulp and paper industry enterprises

Currently, the pulp and paper industry is one of the key sectors of the forestry complex. Among the regions of the Russian Federation one of the leaders in terms of efficiency of the timber processing complex is the Arkhangelsk region, the area of its forests exceeds the total forest resources of France, Germany, Austria, and Denmark. The development of knowledge-intensive production in the pulp and paper industry to stimulate the growth of the depth of industrial processing in the Arkhangelsk region requires proper organizational structure. The article analyses the case of JSC Ilim Group (Группа «ИЛИМ») and its methods of logistic support of timber processing enterprises, including the effectiveness of construction of year-round gravel roads and temporary logging roads using TIR MOBISTEC (МОБИСТЕК), and reveals several advantages in using temporary logging roads.
