The article considers approaches to methodological support of entrepreneurial potential in the tourism industry. It has been established that entrepreneurship is gradually becoming a decisive factor in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of the tourism business. It is proved that the bearers of the entrepreneurial factor are people, and therefore entrepreneurship must be considered as a special labor process of capital owners and managers. The development of this factor requires the creation of a comprehensive assessment of its potential in a triune essence: as a set of quantitative indicators, as a process, as a basis for decision-making. At the same time, each form of entrepreneurship is reduced to creating its own set of essential characteristics to measure potential development. Therefore, the dynamism and reliability of economic processes is associated with the development of their innovativeness in combination with the preservation of traditions. It was found out that the typology of entrepreneurial potential in the tourism industry is possible on the basis of multidimensional statistical analysis, and it allows us to determine the characteristic features of development management of each type. At the same time, the innovativeness of managers is associated with their orientation towards the entrepreneurial philosophy of management. The introduction of such management interacts with the restructuring of the attitude of the staff of the tourist enterprise to changes.
