The role of finite-element models for vibration strength development testing of large spacecraft is discussed. The major issues occurring in verification of large finite-element models via vibration strength tests are presented. A need for applying computer aids to process vibration strength test results for large spacecraft, and placing specified requirements for finite-element models at the stage of their development is shown. Proposed is a computer-aided finite-element models verification procedure which enables to solve the assigned task within the allowable human-computer time resources. An example of computer-aided finite-element model verification procedure for large spacecraft assembly is given as being the procedure validation. The approaches for the procedure scaling on large spacecraft and modules are described.
