In this article concept definition «subject information literacy» is formulated. Relevance, the purpose, problems of a technique of formation of information literacy at pupils of elementary school in the course of language education are defined. The principles of training and the methodological approaches realizing the purpose of formation of information literacy are described. Some methods and the receptions applied at lessons of Russian to realization of this purpose according to declared methodological approaches reveal.
