Methodology for assessing electricity savings from the installation of a new main pumping unit at an oil pumping station

The article proposes a method for calculation of energy saving as a result of replacement of a main line pump at the oil pumping station. The calculation method uses actual data on pump unit operation obtained from the corporate systems of process data collection: Auto- mated System of Electric Power Process Accounting and Monitoring and Supervisory Control System. An algorithm of calculation of energy saving as a result of replacement of a main line pump at the oil pumping station is presented. Mathematical rationale for the evaluation is provided.
