The article considers the assessment methodology and approaches to managing specific types of financial risks in the retail sector. Financial risk management is the most important function of the company's management, since risks can have a huge impact on the company's production, business and financial activities and the results obtained. The article identified and characterized the financial risks inherent in the retail sector, and proposed a methodology for their evaluation.
