The article is devoted to porous thermal insulation materials, which are widely used as thermal insulation in heat power engineering. To study the thermal conductivity of thermal insulation materials, an experimental setup was developed that determines the cooling rates of the samples with different porosity. Based on the analysis of thermograms obtained during the experiment, semi-logarithmic graphs of cooling of the studied samples with different surface densities were constructed, with the help of which the values of the cooling rate of the studied samples were found
