Methodology of organization of didactic games in the study of “The Acts of the Holy Apostles” in religion school for children

The article examines the role of game-based forms in modern educational and upbringing activities, with a focus on didactic games used in teaching religious subjects in the religion schools of the Russian Orthodox Church. The author emphasizes the pedagogical and psychological significance of games as the effective tools for activating cognitive activity and developing social skills among the students at the age of 11–13. It is shown that the use of game technologies contributes to the development of children’s creative potential, increases their motivation and learning effectiveness, and also develops the skills of independent analysis and reflection. There are provided the specific examples of game techniques, such as riddles, maps, dramatized scenes, and quests, demonstrating their positive educational and developmental effects during the work with adolescents in a religious educational environment.
