The key directions of achieving a stable economic situation and market success for industrial enterprises and organizations in industrialized countries are increasingly called the extensive development and implementation of innovative technologies in all areas and stages of the production process. In order to promote a high pace and sustainable economic growth, the production complex must be dynamic and adaptable to external conditions, susceptible to scientific and technological progress. At the present stage, this dictates the need for competent management decisions and ensuring technological advantages in priority areas, in addition, production should be susceptible to advanced technologies in order to ensure the competitiveness of manufactured goods and services on the world stage. The article developed a methodology for calculating indicators of the level of innovative development of an enterprise that ensure the adoption of a competent managerial decision. The role of introducing innovations in the processes of organization of management and production, as well as some approaches to assessing the innovative development of an enterprise, is examined. The analysis of the enterprise innovation management system is given. The approaches to the assessment of innovative development are investigated, the features and disadvantages of the studied approaches are considered.
