Methodological foundations for the study of contemporary crises in the Near and Middle East

In modern science there is a number of methodological approaches to the definition of contemporary political conflicts, which are fully applicable to contemporary conflicts in the Near and Middle East. A striking example in this regard is the Syrian crisis, which has been going on for the last eight years. In fact, it is no longer just a conflict of civil confrontation within one state or at the regional level, but is primarily an international conflict, given the involvement of both internal and external (both regional and global) forces.
