Methodological approaches to formation of ethno-cultural space the High North of the Russian Federation

The article presents methodological approaches to managing cultural regions of the High North of the Russian Federation. The author suggested methodological approaches to monitoring the State of the cultural landscapes and cultural heritage aimed at preserving the unique ethnic identity of Northern peoples. The publication analyzes the experience of the Republic of Karelia the formation of new socio-cultural institutions whose activities are related to the management of the historical and cultural heritage of the region.
