The article observes methodological approaches to strategic planning improvement at the metallurgical enterprises. The author proposes a scheme of strategic plan development for the iron-and-steel companies; the scheme is divided into stages, and there recited principles of the strategic plan forming. Also, the paper states criteria for the assessment of strategic planning functioning at the enterprise.
