Methodological approaches to statistical study of employment in Russia and abroad

The development of the world economy is characterized by consistent structural changes expressed in increasing the share of individual sectors of the economy and the reduction in others, which confirms the validity of the theory of the three sectors. Status and dynamics of the structure of employment by sectors of economy is an important aspect by which to judge the level of economic development of the national economy. What processes and structural changes occur in the national economy, depends a lot on the life of the country and its prospects. One of the main directions in the development and improvement of the structure of the economy is the system of statistical accounting, which is effective management and control. Currently in Russia, information on employment and its structure by types of economic activities is collected from several sources, which have different objectives, scope, reporting periods and frequency. Each information source has its advantages and disadvantages, and provides a set of indicators describing various aspects of participation in economic activities of producing goods and services. Due to the lack of a unified system of indicators of employment, which would allow to diagnose and assess the condition of the structure of employment by types of economic activity you need a competent combination of information from all available sources.
