Methodological approaches to the tourism and recreational differentiation of territories with special use conditions

One of the approaches to modeling and managing the territorial system of tourism is functional zoning with the allocation of priority recreational development zones. The article presents a methodological approach to the tourism and recreational differentiation of territories with specific environmental and economic conditions of use. The authors develop an algorithm for assessing the potential for involving territories with different economic specializations in tourism use. The development of the algorithm is based on the following factors: natural and environmental conditions, legal environment, actual tourism development, established economic functions of the territory. Areas with high potential for tourism development include territories with protected areas and recreational facilities and areas where certain types of recreational activities can be combined with basic economic functions under certain conditions.
