Methodological issues of the comparative analysis of civilizations

The article reviews the methodological aspects of the comparative analysis of civilizations. The author considers that the typological approach seems to be justified, if it is compared not individual components but systemic unity of civilizations in general. The research identifies the comparison criteria of Western and Eastern civilizations, types of cultural contradictions in Asian and African societies. This article is addressed to everyone interested in philosophical and methodological issues of modern civilization, above all to young researchers and academics.
