Methodology of ideographic visualization: challenges and opportunities

The article provides an analysis of the methodology of ideographic visualization as a set of methods for visual-graphic presentation of scientific information. Based on numerous examples from the history of scientific knowledge evolution and its current stage of development, we have explained the importance of using visual-graphic tools and approaches for various sciences. The development of computer technologies (interactive graphical interfaces, big data visualization, artificial intelligence) enable scientists to effectively process and present large volumes of complex data, in such conditions visualization method has become one of the powerful tools of scientific research, which allows scientists to expand and deepen the knowledge of the objects they study, to conduct various experiments that are aimed at influencing the phenomena and processes they study. We focus on the effeciency of this method in overcoming communication barriers between specialists in various fields of knowledge, emphasize the role of ideographic visualization in expanding interdisciplinary interaction and cooperation.
