The methodology of evaluation of investment attractiveness of the region

The author presents the relevance of the study of investment attractiveness of the regions of the Russian Federation. The study analyzes the existing interpretations of the category «investment attractiveness of the region». It is established that today h there is a single universal method of assessing the attractiveness of the territory. The analysis of the category «investment climate». The author proves that investment attractiveness is present only in areas with a favorable investment climate. The review of existing interpretations allowed to formulate the author’s definition of the concept of «investment attractiveness» of the region. The article presents an analysis of the most popular existing methods for assessing the investment attractiveness of the subjects of the Russian Federation.
