Methodology for Victimological Research on Extortion Committed with the Use of Information and Communication Technologies

In this article, taking into account the specifics of extortion committed using information and communication technologies, which is determined by the interaction between the perpetrator and the victim in the information environment, a methodological approach to the victimological study of this type of crime is defined. It is substantiated that the methodological basis of such a study should be based on systemic, dialectical, activity-based, personal, situational, axiological, and functional approaches, as well as a set of corresponding general scientific and specific scientific research methods.
