This article is devoted to the problem of ensuring sustainable development of engineering infrastructure facilities of a large city in the context of increasing anthropogenic loads, resource limitations and climate change. Based on an analysis of contemporary challenges, key elements of the mechanism are identified and methods for their implementation are proposed, including financing instruments, lifecycle management of facilities, digitalization, and stimulation of "green" investments. The results of this work can be used by state and local government bodies in developing strategies and programs for the effective development of urban infrastructure.
