The article deals with the development and correction of children's cognitions in special (correctional) school through the integrated use of correctional exercises, entertaining material and didactic games during the maths lesson. The use of such material improves the efficiency of the learning process, helps to achieve the best results in maths teaching, and enhances the cognitive interest in the discipline.
