Methods of research the self-consciousness in personality psychology and developmental psychology

The article deals with the theoretical and methodological problems of research of self-consciousness in personality psychology and developmental psychology. The author especially highlights the complexity of the subject of the study, the irrelevant factors influencing on self-description, quantitative and qualitative variability of results. There is a broad overview of current foreign and Russian approaches to the study of self-consciousness.
