The methods of marker-assisted selection of economic determinants in cattle (review)

In the review theoretical estimations of preselection in dairy cattle are considered concerning of milk production traits with the help of molecular markers (MAS). Cited the data on efficiency preselection with the help of MAS in comparison with phenotype selection and conditions at which performance, selection with the help of MAS completely will replace phenotype selection. The different models of tribal estimation of cattle on the basis of molecular markers (OTLs) were described. The data about precelection with the help of MAS started in some countries of the world are briefly resulted.
