The economies of Russia and many other countries are developing unevenly in the spatial aspect. Special measures of state policy are aimed at overcoming the economic differentiation of regions. This policy is based on an objective assessment of the level of regional differentiation. The article is devoted to the description and systematization of methods for assessing the differentiation of regional economic development.
