Methods of organization and technological design for wholesale warehouses

Some issues on providing trade with storage rooms are considered. The major tasks and problems of the development of storage systems in trade are studied. The regional development dynamics of storage systems is found, and the comparative analysis of the highlight figures of the warehousing property by the regions of Russia is given. The analysis results imply that the principle demand at the warehousing property market falls on Moscow region. Besides, the commerce and engineering process stages are defined, tasks and objectives of the warehouse designing are stated. Special focus is on the storage facility design principles, the ultimate one being the compactness principle based on the solicitous attitude to the land area and to the reasonable siting of a warehouse. The warehouse classification per A, B, C, D grades is considered, their detailed characteristic is given.
