The article is devoted to the problem of improvement the effectiveness of the educational process in higher education. The use of modern problem-research methods in the process of the preparation of experts in the field of design, within the discipline ethnodesign is explained. The possibilities of applying the method of reconstruction as a tool for complex studying the legacy of ethnic art are revealed.
