Sampling methods of cuckoo wasps (Hymenoptera, Chrysididae) in terms of their biological and ecological peculiarities

Бесплатный доступ

Cuckoo wasps occupy colonies of solitary bees and wasps, and form ecological complexes in natural and anthropogenic landscapes. They significantly affect the numbers of the bees as plant pollinators, and the numbers of digger wasps and euneumon wasps as active enthomophages for numerous plant pests. Through certain difficulties in sample collection and lack of biology data on most species, this insect group is left little-studied. The review of methods of gathering of cuckoo wasps taking into account their biological and ecological features allows to choose most effective of them and expands possibilities of use of these insects in the monitoring processes connected with the decision of questions of wildlife management and rational wildlife management.
