"There is the significant difference between you and me: that I stand on the side of history and the people...": a study of the distinctions of behavior practices and self-description by Ivan Aksakov

The review is devoted to the biography of one of the largest representativesof Slavophilism I. S. Aksakov. We consider the method that the author of the mono-graph A. A. Tesla used for the reconstruction of the way of life of I. S. Aksakov andproposed for designation as a method of “self-identical distinction”; it reveals the factthat the aim of the research is to reconstruct the “practices of conduction and self-description”. Review emphasizes that the main merit of the author of the biography is to identify the characteristics of religious beliefs of Aksakov in the context of thechanging nature of religiosity in Russia of the XIX century.
