International communication in the political discourse of Jurgen Habermas: pragmatic aspect

The article explores the ability to use the Habermasian theory of communicative action for the study of the international political communication. It is argued that mutual world-wide understanding can be achieved through the interactive communicative actions both in on-line and in off-line spheres. International political discourse provided by English as a global common language is described as a condition under which various political views can be coordinated. Media, international community and intellectual forces are examined as the leading actors of the world political process.
