The international scientific conference «Biodiversity: research and conservation» (Tver, 21–24 November 2012)

A chronicle of International Scientific Conference dedicated to 95th anniversary of the Department of Botany of Tver State University (Tver, 21–24 November 2012) is given. Сurrent approaches to biodiversity research. Сovers issues of research in phylogeography including botanical and geographical analysis of the different components of flora, structural diversity of plants and lichens and methodology of morphological research. It also discussed conservation of biodiversity, approaches to research of biology of invasive species as a threat to regional biodiversity.
