International and political analysis of the situation in the Near East

The article is devoted to the current international situation in the Near East. The author identifies the causes and characteristics of the Syrian crisis, considers the main actors of the conflict and analyzes their positions in the Syrian issue, and also notes attempts to peacefully resolve the Syrian crisis.. Particular attention is paid to the Islamic Republic of Iran in the context of the USA sanctions. On the basis of the analysis the author formulates the key conclusions.
