International legal conception of environmental security of the commonwealth of independent states

The article analyzes the scientific theoretical approaches to the environmental security conception of the CIS member countries, and reviews the international legal ratification of the environmental security in the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Environment Protection of the CIS Member States. The author discusses the current challenges of the international legal regulation of environment security, including the lack of the principles of the conception under consideration, and the methods to be used when ensuring the environmental security of the CIS countries.
