International cooperation of Russia and Azerbaijan during the reign of the popular front of Azerbaijan (1992-1993.): problems and challenges

The collapse of the USSR has become a huge challenge for countries that previously constituted a single entity (single system). At independence, in the first stage young Republic was not ready for an independent democratic state building. Azerbaijan and Russia entered into a series of institutional and political crises, with the work moved to a new format of bilateral contacts. In the article made the emphasis on the absence of the reigning authorities even approximate plan of further actions in the system to the new realities in the life of the two peoples, despite the loud statements about the future of the country. The author attempts analyze of the actions of individual politicians, which at the time a different effect on the development of Azerbaijan. As highlighted in the life of new political organizations, which were dictated by the requirements of the new times. The article on the example of Azerbaijani-Russian relations during the reign of the popular front of Azerbaijan are analyzed, first of all, the most significant factors of internal policy, which influence on the formation of international contacts. The main conclusion of the material is that despite the difficulties in all relations between the two countries, the presence of complex and sensitive issues, two people could not just remain friendly neighbors but also reliable partners. Russia and Azerbaijan in their plans have a clear focus on mutually beneficial cooperation.
