The development of the Arctic region, the proclamation of the Arctic as a territory of dialogue is one of the priority policy areas of both Russia and other countries. One of the main vectors of cooperation is interaction in the research area, which is regulated, among other things, by the «Agreement on Strengthening International Scientific Cooperation in the Arctic» 2017. The main role in international interaction is played by international non-governmental organizations. The International Arctic Scientific Committee is the oldest universal organization uniting the Arctic and non-Arctic countries and coordinating scientific research in the region in various fields. UArctic is an integrated network of universities, colleges, research institutes and other educational and research organizations in and around the north. Its members are united in thematic networks, a number of which deal with various aspects of economic research in the region. Among them are «Arctic Economy Science», «Managing Small and Medium Sized Enterprises in the North«, «Circular Economy» and others.
