The subject of the work is the coordinated actions of the governments of Finland and Sweden when they conduct foreign policy at the present stage (late XX, early XXI centuries). The purpose of the study is a comprehensive study of the tendency to maintain a common foreign policy line within the chosen chronological boundaries. In the international relations of Finland and Sweden, there is a tendency when the governments of the two states in foreign policy act similarly, at the same time and in concert. This trend has developed after the Second World War and still exists. The trend is manifested in the general policy of neutrality, in cooperation with NATO on defense of the North, at the same time joining the European Union, in the conduct of foreign policy aimed at sustainable development of the North. All this is a manifestation of the joint foreign political line that exists thanks to Finland's movements in Sweden along the path of mutual integration. The study of this trend is important, since Finland is a neighboring country of Russia with a long common border. Finland's foreign policy is being built and carried out jointly with Sweden, so studying this issue would make Finland's actions predictable for Russia.
